Saro Magazine is a global arts, culture, and fashion platform amplifying contemporary Black creativity across the diaspora. Through editorial storytelling, visual culture, events, and podcasts, Saro Magazine explores identity, culture, and collective Black experiences.

About

We are seeking a Podcast Manager to lead the creation, production, and growth of Saro Magazine’s podcast programming. This role is ideal for someone with experience in audio storytelling, production management, and audience engagement, with a passion for amplifying Black voices and narratives.

The Podcast Manager will oversee all aspects of podcast production—from concept development to launch, distribution, and audience growth—ensuring high-quality, culturally grounded storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, and manage podcast series in line with Saro Magazine’s editorial mission

  • Oversee all stages of production: research, scripting, recording, editing, and post-production

  • Coordinate with hosts, guests, producers, and technical teams

  • Manage scheduling, recording logistics, and publication timelines

  • Ensure audio quality, branding consistency, and storytelling standards are maintained

  • Monitor audience analytics and implement strategies to grow listenership

  • Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and social media teams to cross-promote content

  • Stay informed about podcast industry trends and innovative formats

 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in podcast production, editing, or audio storytelling

  • Strong project management and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

  • Familiarity with podcast platforms, distribution, and analytics tools

  • Knowledge of cultural, artistic, and social issues related to Black communities is a plus

  • Proficiency in audio editing software (Audacity, Adobe Audition, Logic Pro, etc.)
